2020 EACH YEAR lN THE JANUARY ISSUE, we stars who are moving the needle. This year, the lengths of time that I have known these four individuals var- ies dramatically. Jeff Coleman, for example, I first met in the 1980s when I was engineering editor on Concrete International and he was writing the "Concrete Legal Notes" column for the magazine. That was back when my desk at ACI was only feet away from the other engineering editor. Marilyn Shapiro, whom 1 married a short time later. Today, she goes by her middle name so people at ACI wonder where I met my wife, Wynne Palmer. Whatever happened to Marilyn, they ask.
