A discussion about hyperbolic tilt angle method

Cooper and Cowan (2006) have presented a new edge detection and enhancement method of potential field data, which was called hyperbolic tilt angle (HTA). They introduced the efficacy and advantage of this method in their paper. And several authors used this method to detect the edges of geologic bodies in other papers (Cella et al., 2009; Cooper and Cowan, 2011). However, some issues were discovered in our study.
