Montreal Akousma

The Akousma(5) Festival of Elec-troacoustic Music was organized by Nicolas Bernier and held 10-13 December 2008 at the National Monument Studio in Montreal, Canada (see Figure 1). The festival presented six concerts and eight conference events. Participating Canadian and international composers included Martin Messier, Jacques Poulin-Denis, Pete Stollery, Sebastien Roux, Georges Forget, Phroq, Christian Bouchard, Robert Normandeau, Darren Copeland, and Andreas Kahre. The conference portion of the festival gave many of the composers an opportunity to talk about their works and creative processes with the public.
