Introduction to the special issue: Overview of OLYMPUS Optimization Benchmark Challenge

摘要

This editorial provides an overview of the OLYMPUS field development optimization benchmark challenge. The scope, criteria, model, and problem description are provided as well as an overview of the methods used by the participants at the workshop as well as the papers published in this special issue. We hope that this exercise will spur new ideas and, in the future, new research developments can be benchmarked to the provided data set. The data set and simulation input files for this benchmark case can be obtained via the following webpage.
