Commercial Motor began the 30th anniversary year of the Renault Magnum with a detailed history of the iconic French truck (9 January). We're ending the year by putting one example under the spotlight. The Magnum in question has been completely restored by Renault Trucks UK. Not a lot is known for certain of the early life of P704WCY, bought from a truck collector in the Midlands who had owned it for three years. It was built on 19 March 1997 and sold by Renault Trucks Northern Ireland, now Diamond Trucks. And it is rumoured to have spent most of its life in the world of motor racing, but details are sketchy.
