Urban areas set for CF Silent nights

Dap is set to make its extra quiet CF Silent urban distribution truck available to customers at the start of next year. The vehicle will have a special "silent" button on the dashboard. If pressed, the engine software will switch to a programme that limits torque and engine speed. When the lorry is set to silent mode, the noise level will be no more than 72 decibels. The CF Silent will therefore comply with the conditions for certification as a quiet truck for loading and unloading where evening, night-time or early morning noise restrictions apply.
