TC refuses return of impounded vehicle

Joan aitken, traffic commissioner (TC) for Scotland, has refused to return an impounded HGV to its owner after it was operated without an O-licence. A truck operated by Bathgate-based CV repair firm Central Fleet Solutions (CFS) was stopped and detained by the DVSA in July. The company had previously been warned that continued use of vehicles without an O-licence would result in them being impounded. The warning was given in June after another truck was stopped in April while taking a customer's trailer for a brake test in Bellshill.
