Renault trucks UK has told CM it is delighted with how the first nine months of its national apprentice programme has progressed. The scheme, which began last September at Stephenson College in Coalville, Leicestershire, provides training for up to 100 apprentices from workshops across the company's UK dealer network, including HGV technicians as well as parts specialists. The workshop includes the latest vehicles in the Renault range for apprentices to work on, as well as individual engine blocks, gearboxes and axles. There are also workrooms with computers where trainers deliver theory lessons.
