Nigeria vows to recover stolen funds from crimes

THE Acting Chairman of Nigeria’s Economic andFinancial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has pledged toensure that stolen funds from fraud and other financialcrimes are recovered.Ibrahim Magu disclosed during a session with theSpeaker of the country’s House of Representatives, FemiGbajabiamila and other top executives, of the country’santi-corruption agencies recently.EFCC’s recent collaboration with the Federal Bureau ofInvestigation, codenamed ‘Operation Rewired,' resultedin the recovery of US$169,850 as well as N92 million.Expensive cars and several plots of land were alsorecovered during the operation across Nigeria.
