First international textile educational conference

摘要

The first International Conference on Textile Education tided "Global Textile Education" was held during 1st -4th July, 2005 at Hotel Taj Coromandel, Chennai. The conference was organized by SSM School of Textiles, SSM College of Engineering, Komarapalayam, Tamil Nadu. M/s. Carrera Holdings, Italy and Reliance Industries Ltd., Mumbai were the lead sponsors. The prime objective of the conference was to bring together intellectuals, academicians, research scholars, industrialists and technocrats from various parts of the world to a common platform to deliberate on important issues pertaining to textile education and industry and to set the stage for more innovative and collaborative ventures.
