1935 International C-l Canopy Express: Farmstand on Wheels

Given the name International Harvester Company, it's not surprising the firm's roots were in farm implements. Though the company itself was formed via a 1902 merger, its roots go back much further to the invention of the reaper by Cyrus H. McCormick in 1831. Farming equipment and tractors remained the company's main focus, but International entered the truck market in 1907, at first with wagonlike high-wheelers. By the early Twenties, most of International's truck offerings were heavy-duty models. The closest IHC came to offering light-duty models were 3/4-ton trucks.
