In the great festival of one-upsman-ship that was the postwar horsepower race, Chrysler reached what many consider to be the top of heap when it revived its famous hemispherical-head V-8 in the mid Sixties. Though it made its debut as a racing engine, it took a somewhat tamer version available to the general public to cement its place in automotive history.
