Celebrating 96 Years of Chemical Corps History

The U.S. Army Chemical Corps celebrated its 96th birthday at the home of the Regiment-Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri-from 25 to 27 June 2014. Chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) Soldiers, showing pride in the Regiment, participated in the festivities. During an early morning birthday run, leaders picked up battalions along the route to Gammon Field, where Brigadier General Maria R. Gervais, 28th Chief of Chemical and commandant of the U.S. Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear School (USACBRNS), addressed the Regiment. "This is a way that we come together for esprit de corps, camaraderie, cohesion, and to recognize those who came before us, who stood on this very field or stood on some of those battlefields, and have earned our legacy that we enjoy so much today," she told the Regiment.
