CANADIAN NATIONAL RAILWAY ORDERS FOUR LNG TENDERS FROM WESTPORT

Westport Innovations Inc., a developer of advanced natural gas engines based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has sold four new liquefied natural gas (LNG) tender cars that will supply fuel to rail locomotives operated by Canadian National Railway. The first tender to supply fuel to an adjacent natural gas powered locomotive will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2013. The tenders will be used immediately with dual fuel locomotives in mainline service, allowing Canadian National to continue to explore LNG technology as a means to advance the company's sustainability agenda and lower emissions.
