REPORT CONFIRMS 2016 WAS WARMEST YEAR ON RECORD FOR THE GLOBE

The 27th annual State of the Climate report fromrnthe United States (U.S.) National Oceanic andrnAtmospheric Administration (NOAA) has confirmedrnthat 2016 topped 2015 as the warmest year on thernplanet in 137 years of recordkeeping. The reportrnfound that most indicators of climate change continuedrnto follow trends of a warming world. Climaticrntrends monitored by NOAA include land and oceanrntemperatures, sea levels, and greenhouse gasrn(GHG) concentrations. All broke records set just 1rnyear previously in 2015.
