The Christmas and New Year break provided me with the opportunity to catch up on my reading and particularly the local and national papers. Being a 'Waste Anorak'; defined as the kind of person that takes pictures of landfills, dustbins or recycling while on holiday, I was interested in the increased profile of waste over the festive period.
