The two-year development of a process to recover valuable nickel, of up to 99.9 percent purity, has been completed by waste management company Cleansing Service Group (CSG). Nickel is used in many industrial and consumer products but it is pre-eminently an alloy metal, and its chief use is in nickel steels and nickel cast irons, of which there are many varieties. It is also widely used in many other alloys, such as nickel brasses and bronzes, and alloys with copper, chromium, aluminium, lead, cobalt, silver and gold.
