Many will have breathed a sigh of relief as the main renewables incentives emerged from the Spending Review unscathed. However, will the combination of budget cuts and relatively low initial funding for the Green Investment Bank nonetheless scupper much needed investment in low carbon waste infrastructure and projects? There were some good news stories in the Spending Review - the announcement that the Renewable Heat Incentive would receive f 860m funding to bring it into the heart of renewable energy policy in the UK was a welcome one.
