Wales Launches Waste Plan

Alun davies, Natural Resources and Food Minister has announced the launch of plans to prevent waste in Wales. The Waste Prevention Programme sets out how businesses and households in Wales can re-use or extend the life of products, and reduce the environmental impact of waste. The Programme includes annual waste reduction targets for key areas to 2050; reductions in household [1.2 percent), construction and demolition [1.4 percent), commercial (1.2 percent) and industrial waste (1.4 percent). It also outlines measures to encourage separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment and work to encourage more repair, re-use and resale of items.
