Despite every vehicle needing a legal set of'em, tyres tend to get pushed well down the editorial agenda in favour of more glamorous subjects. Which, let's face it, is just about everything else! But here's a piece of news from Bridgestone which is worth further analysis... the company is celebrating some of its best original equipment sales of radial truck and bus tyres to chassis manufacturers such as Dennis Eagle, as well as several different brands of trailers, and as a surge of orders from large fleet operators. Sales have been increasing steadily over the last three years, but there was a further spike (not the best word to use in the context of a tyre, perhaps?) back in June, according to Bridgestone national fleet sales manager, Chris Buchanan.
