AD's Million-Home Milestone

One of the proudest moments as chief executive of a trade association is being able to announce an industry milestone, and at ADBA's global trade show earlier this month I was able to do exactly that. Our July 2017 AD Market Report, which was launched at the show, confirmed that AD plants across the UK now have enough capacity to power over a million homes. This is a fantastic achievement for an industry that is emblematic of the circular economy, recycling organic wastes from sewage, agriculture and food and drink waste into renewable heat and power, green transport fuel and nutrient-rich biofertiliser.
