By high-strength steels the constructional steelwork industry is enabled to new esthetical structures. Moreover, the application of high-strength steels is linked to a possible increase of efficiency during fabrication. Therefore, the application of high-strength steel increases continuously. This article presents the variety of high-strength materials which are characterised by different production processes and, therefore, also different fabrication properties. The advantages of using these materials will be discussed in detail and explained on various examples.
