Vienna - Terzaghi Lecture 2019: Geomechatronik - ein Zukunftsfeld

Geomechatronic is termed as the interaction of mechanical engineering, measurement technology, open-loop control and control engineering. Through a better understanding of geotechnical processes one may succeed in optimizing both process and building machines and to characterize the production process with parameters. In the following these parameters can be used for targeted control and regulation of building processes. This approach will be explained by four examples: the driving of steel profiles, the extraction of drilling tools, directed post installation plugging though vibration of open profiles and vibrofloating. Further an example illustrates how the individual processes can be automated in confined work space situations by application of cellular automata in combination with graph theory.
