Consultancy Services for the Supervision of Works for the Expansion of the Lower Ruvu Water Treatment Plant in Tanzania

摘要

Realizing the treatment of 90 000 m~3/ day using innovative technologies has improved water services to an additional 900 000 people in Dar es Salaam, and has had a profound effect on environmental and health improvement. Water returned to the river after the sedimentation process is within internationally acceptable standards. All spoil areas were reinstated with topsoil and grass, with many new trees also planted. Local labour was employed and this has resulted in the economic upliftment of the community.
