Flight Delays Expected to Worsen As Economy Improves

A study released in October by the Brook-ings Institution, which is based in Washington, D.C., indicates that as the economy improves, flight delays at major U.S. airports will increase. The study analyzed national and metropolitan air travel patterns over the past two decades and found that the annual amount of air travel in the United States declined from September 2008 to March 2009 because of the economic downturn.
