'Exciting' Pedestrian Bridge Planned for National Scout Jamboree Site

A pedestrian suspension bridge that features a pair of walkways that follow the structure's cables, climbing up and over the supporting masts and even dropping beneath the deck, is being constructed for the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) to inaugurate the organization's new jamboree site in West Virginia. Scout jamborees are qua-drennial events that bring together tens of thousands of scouts from around the country. The next jamboree will be held this summer at the newly constructed facility known as the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve, which encompasses 10,600 acres and is adjacent to West Virginia's New River Gorge National River area.
