At the inauguration of SAICE’s 2020 President, Fana Marutla, towards the end of last year (see pp 4–9 of this edition), the SAICE Gold Medal was awarded, an Honorary Fellowship bestowed, and the President’s Award handed to three unsuspecting SAICE members who were taken completely by surprise.
