Weve heard lots in recent months and years about how the UK needs to invest in its infrastructure asset base, and how infrastructure investment will help the country dig itself out of the current financial woes. There are plans afoot for hundreds of billions of pounds worth of infrastructure investment. These include new and upgraded roads, the next generation of nuclear energy plants (and the decommissioning of existing ones), high speed railways from London to Birmingham and further north, new schools, free schools, academies and hospitals, wind farms, solar farms, shale gas exploration and high speed broadband. In fact, for pretty much everything to do with infrastructure.
