Entering New Grounds: Crossing The Boundaries Between Demography And Urban Studies

People are born, grow up, marry or do not, have or do not have children. They establish households, move to other places, dissolve their households and form new ones. People grow old and die. While demographers are interested in the accumulated effects of population behaviour in terms of cohorts and population trends, urban research is asking for study of the socio-spatial consequences of these developments.
