摘要

Influence of component matching errors becomes more and more significant for integrated circuit design, in particular, for digital-to-analog converters. A unary digital-to-analog converter can compensate such errors by means of a switching scheme. This brief proposes a novel technique for a placement of element parts - the Multi-Flip Technique. This technique completely compensates a rotation of an error gradient when using as few as 16 parts for each element. An analytic proof and simulation results confirm its efficiency. Moreover, the technique is capable of being scaled while preserving the property of the rotation compensation.
