摘要

This brief presents the design process, fabrication, and measurement results of a 1-3 GHz, efficient, 90-watt power amplifier (PA). Our design method is based on the source-pull/load-pull and the X-parameter models of the transistor which were obtained using its nonlinear compact model. According to the measurement results, the fabricated PA provides an output power between 49 dBm - 50 dBm, a drain efficiency of 41.4% to 45.5%, and a power gain between 9.4 dB and 13.7 dB in the entire frequency band of 1-3 GHz.
