A Struggle for Survival:The State of Europe's PCB Industry

Producing PCBs in Europe is an ongoing struggle for survival for manufacturers. Competition from Asia and India, issues such as RoHS compliance and added investments to meet demands from new technical innovations loom like black clouds on the horizon. Since 200T, approximately 50 percent of Europe's PCB companies have closed due to low profitability, environmental regulations for wastewater and higher cost investments against tougher competition from low-cost countries.
