I've been noticing lately that more than a few gray hairs are starting to make their presence known on my head. Since I'm not a Grecian Formula kind of guy, I suppose they will only increase, inconveniently reminding me of my position as "senior" editor. Fortunately, my dotage is still several decades away—just long enough for Social Security to go bankrupt and the retirement age raised to 100. Which got me thinking: since my 401(k) account is now in the triple digits ($1.00), I need to invest in growth markets unless I want to be dining on cat food in my golden years. (Since my taste buds will probably die before I do, that doesn't sound all that bad, but still, I wouldn't want to embarrass my future grandchildren.)
