There was great excitement on the afternoon of August 24th 1936 when a large crowd outside the new TIVOLI cinema waited for the film star Miss Jean Adrienne to arrive to perform the grand opening ceremony, as she was also appearing on the screen in the opening feature "FATHER O'FLYNN".
