The strain analysis and micro-structure of deep ductile shear zone (depth > 10 km) have been studied by many authors, and the forming process of micro-ductile shear zone has recently been discussed by some authors. But supergene micro-ductile shear zone (depth < 5 km) has rarely been reported. This note reports and discusses the characteristics and mechanism of supergene micro-ductile shear zone in the Permian sandstone in southwestern Fujian, China.
