Infantile cerebral palsy refers to a non-progressive comprehensive cerebral disease occurring as a result of cerebral injury caused before or during the first month after birth. Motive and gestural abnormalities, together with imbecility and epilepsy are seen as the major symptoms of the disease. From February 1990 to July 1992, the authors provided 75 cerebral palsy patients with a comprehensive channel-point approach therapy supplemented with acupressure and massage, as well as body-function training at the Infantile Cerebral Palsy Clinic of the Affiliated Children's Hospital of Zhejiang Medical University in Hangzhou.
