A new 200 kt/a Acetic Unit Put on Stream in Daqing Oilfield

A new 200-kt/a acetic unit was put on stream in August 2007 at Daqing Oilfield Company, Ltd., using the feedstock furnished by the 200 kt/a methanol unit in Daqing region. The acetic acid products will be delivered first of all to the marketsrnin north China and northeast China. This company is considering the construction of a downstream vinyl acetate monomer unit.
