Nanoencapsulation of cytochrome c and horseradish peroxidase at the galleries of α-zirconium phosphate

Cytochrome c (Cyt c) and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) are encapsulated in the galleries of α-zirconium phosphate (Zr[HPO_4]_2 .nH_2O,α-ZrP) α-zirconoum phosphonate Zr(PO_3- CH_2COOH)_2 .nH_2O (α-ZrPAA), under mild conditions (pH 7.2, room temperature). Thermal stability, peroxidase actibity, and the spectral features of the bound proteins are largely preserved.
