No previous work on the chemical constituents of Carpesium lipskyi( family: Compositae), used as folk medicine, since ancient times. For relieving pain, treating injury By insects and snakes, deoxicating in traditional Tibetan system of medicine, has been Found so far. The present paper covers the isolation and structural elucidation of mew Sesquiterpene lactones-germacranolide(1) and its derivative(2)from the whole plant of the Title species.
