摘要

The problem of granulation of free-flowing materials is well known among chemical and petrochemical establishments. Only recently specialists have begun to study the properties and behavior of free-flowing materials in earnest. As a literature review has indicated, it is precisely a lack of knowledge concerning the properties of free-flowing materials that has been the main restrictive factor in the development of reliable highly productive units for their granulation. A screw-extruder/granulator developed for free-flowing materials (Fig. 1) consists of charging bin 6 for delivery of a free-flowing material within which reside agitator 7, screw 1, injector 5 for the feed of a binding component, molding (extrusion) head 2, electric heating elements 4, and drive 8.
