PHASE SEPARATORS WITH INVERTED VALVE UNITS

New float-type steam traps with inverted valve unit with improved characteristics are proposed. A technique of designing an inverted valve unit is presented. The influence of different factors on the throughput of the inverted valve unit in outflow of cooled and saturated condensate is analyzed. Recommendations for the selection of the structural parameters of the valve unit are given. Examples that illustrate efficient operation of phase separators with inverted valve units in industry are presented.
