摘要

The results of modeling and investigation of liquid distribution in mass-transfer devices having dumped packings are presented. A method of eliminating liquid accumulation on the walls of the devices having dumped packings is proposed and tested. Models of radial and longitudinal liquid mixing are developed with due regard for liquid spreading and uneven sprinkling over the device cross section. A relationship of the coefficient of longitudinal liquid phase mixing in unevenly sprinkled industrial-scale devices with the coefficient of longitudinal liquid phase mixing in the model device is established. The effect of scale factor on longitudinal liquid mixing in a packing layer decreases with increase of liquid spreading coefficients.
