摘要

This article deals with the modeling and simulation of fiber dynamics as they occur in the practical application of melt-spinning processes for nonwoven materials.The description of the fiber-flow interactions is based on the usage of standard models and commercial packages for the air flow together with specific approaches for the fiber dynamics including momentum and heat exchange between fibers and fluid flow.Promising simulation results are shown for an industrial case.
