The application spectrum of so-called BCF carpet yarns ranges from monocolor fitted carpets to brightly colored prayer mats. The abbreviation stands for bulked continuous filaments and refers to textured continuous yarns which mainly comprise polyester, poly-amide or polypropylene. The BCF yarns are fully stretched and crimped in a one-step process and almost exclusively processed into carpets.
