BB Engineering Successful start-up of 10-end VarioFil PP FDY spinning line in the USA

In 2014, BB Engineering GmbH (BBE), Rem-scheid/Germany, a joint venture of Oerlikon Manmade Fibers, Remscheid, and Bruckner Trockentechnik GmbH, Leonberg/Germany, successfully completed the start-up of a 10-end PP FDY spinning line VarioFil with WINGS at Global Textile Alliance Inc. (GTA) in Reidsville/NC, USA. The new line enables GTA to produce dope-dyed PP filament fibers with highest quality requirements and is the first one in the USA using WINGS technology. "Working with the BBE Team to implement this lengthy design to start-up processes was very demanding, yet both companies achieved all the goals outlined in our original plans. We are extremely pleased with the technology and the overall support from the entire BBE organization", Steven M. Graven, CEO of GTA, said. Since BBE took over the VarioFil business from Barmag in 2008, many projects have been completed successfully at customers all around the world.
