With Meryl Sublime, the polyamide 66 producer Nylstar SA, Blanes/Spain, has introduced a new microfiber with the finest filaments ever produced: they can be as thin as 0.45 dtex per filament, providing a high level of ultimate comfort. Drying this extremely fine fiber requires a delicate process, and the key is in the design of its spinnerets, that gives each minuscule fiber its form and its specific performance characteristics. The work of combining all the variables is still performed largely by hand. Meryl Sublime possesses a unique silky touch yet it is a performance fiber. It can be provided in 10 different dope dyed colors. Meryl Sublime and other Meryl innovations were showcased during Interfiliere Paris, 5-7 July, 2014 in Paris/France.
