Wasserlösliche Polymere werden in der Waschmittelindustrie sowohl in den Formulierungen zur Verbesserung des Waschergebnisses als auch als Folien für die Verpackung flüssiger Waschmittelportionen gebraucht. Unlösliche, thermoplastische Kunststoffe (PE, PP, PET) werden als Verpackungsmaterial für Feststoffe, Pasten, Suspensionen und Flüssigkeiten in Form von kaschiertem Karton, Beuteln, Flaschen, Eimern und Tuben eingesetzt. Die Polymere lassen sich je nach Anwendung maßschneidern. Hierfür stehen nicht nur die Möglichkeiten der Reaktions- und Synthesetechnik zur Verfügung, sondern es gelingt auch über den Zusatz von Additiven die geforderten physikalischen, technischen und optischen Eigenschaften, z. B. Farbe und Alterungsbestndigkeit, einzustellen. Die im Extruder aufgeschmolzenen Thermoplasten lassen sich beliebig formen. Die Verpackungen sollen nicht nur in Form und Funktion, sondern auch in der gesamten Ästhetik überzeugen und markentypisch gestaltet sein. In an extrusion process, the plasticized or melted material gets the product shape; any form can be produced. The packaging should convince not only in forms and functions, but also throughout the aesthetics relating to the specific brand. The product design is the sum of these parameters.
