摘要

This communication describes a facile and mild chemical etching method for resizing of CdTe nanocrystals, which provides a possible approach for tailoring the size-dependent properties of the nanocrystals. Semiconductor nanocrystals quantum dots have attracted tremendous interest for fundamental research and technical development because of their flexible processibility and unique size-dependent properties. These properties make these novel materials highly desirable for a variety of applications in the fields of bio-imaging, catalysis, nano-devices and optoelectronics, and especially as building blocks in the architecture of composite materials and superstructures.
