摘要

We report here, for the first time, a biotemplated synthesis of uniform CdSe nanoparticle (4.1 ± 0.5 nm) and a fabrication of two-dimensional CdSe nanoparticles (over one micrometre) with nanometric gaps by cage-like protein, Listeria-Dps. Biomolecules are attractive as templates and/or nanoblocks for bottom-up processes. A variety of biomolecules having abilities of mineralization, specific inorganic recognition and self-assembly were genetically produced and used. A cage-shaped protein, ferritin, was used in semiconductor devices.
