摘要

The first well defined cationic terminal hydrido rare earth complexes [(NCN)LnH(THF)_3][BPh_4] were isolated from THF, which on recrystallization from chlorobenzene gave reversibly the novel dicationic binuclear dihydride complexes [(NCN)Ln(μ-H)(THF)_2]_2[BPh_4]_2. Rare earth metal hydrides are among the most reactive organometallic compounds. Since the first molecular rare earth metal hydride was reported in the early 1980s,1 a large number of rare earth metal hydride complexes with a variety of hydride bonding modes supported by various ancillary ligands have been reported.
